History of School
The townsmen of Velké Meziříčí were trying to found a secondary school from the year 1848. In 1899 the school was established under the name Vyšší zemská reálka; the first students, namely 82 boys, came here in 1901. At the beginning the technical subjects prevailed due to the need of technically educated people in the mostly agricultural region. However, during the history of the school the proportion of technical and humanistic subjects as well as the name of the school were changed many times. List of graduates (in year-class order)
